Welsh Cob Stallion Tack - Sec. C & D

Having previously lived and worked in Wales for many years, making Stallion Tack for Welsh Cobs was something that I specialised in.

I still make these sets to order in a choice of coloured leathers, Black, Chestnut Brown or Dark Havana Brown.

There is also a choice in the style of buckles.

For this set I used Crown buckles while on another set, shown below, I used Whole Swage buckles.  

All these sets are individually handmade. They are cut from the best quality English "Sedgwick" hides, before the sharp edges are taken off, dyed and polished to a shine. The stitching and the holes for the buckles are then marked out. It is then stitched entirely by hand using linen thread coated in beeswax to give both strength and appearance. Finally the pad is packed with soft saddle flock.
